Carrot Tree Kitchens in the Cole Diggs House

On the corner of read and Main St. in historic Yorktown, Virginia is the most charming little restaurant, the Carrot Tree.
I have heard about it for years and have always wanted to try it. So on our way home from the beach, Greg took me for lunch our anniversary. It was delightful. They have a varied menu and are known for there fabulous desserts. Everything is homemade and wonderful. The house was built in 1720 so it is fun to eat it it. They have lots of special lectures and programs in conjunction with lunch you can check out here:http://www.carrottreekitchens.com/
